About this spot

A campground near the summit of Oishi Highlands at an elevation of 870m. Every plot is equipped with an AC power outlet (up to 1200W), making it a 'campground in the sky' where you can enjoy a sky full of stars, and, if you're lucky, a sea of clouds in the early morning. Camping hours run from 15:00 to 11:00 the next day (per Kimino Town's official website).

Tips

Campfires and fireworks are strictly prohibited, and BBQ is only allowed in the paid campground plots (reservation required). There are no trash bins, so be sure to take your trash home with you. There have been bear sightings in the area, and the campground may close temporarily depending on conditions. Shared facilities are limited to a cooking area, a charcoal disposal area, and restrooms.

Best time to visit

After sunset, once the sky has darkened. It gets cold at night due to the high elevation.
