久万高原町菅生にある、四国八十八箇所霊場の44番札所です。八十八の札所のちょうど折り返しにあたる寺として知られ、山あいの杉木立に囲まれた参道が本堂へと続きます。木々の間から光がさしこむ道は静かで、歩くだけで気持ちが整っていくような場所です。歩き遍路の人が休む姿を見かけることもあり、四国の山あいの暮らしと信仰が今も続いていることが伝わってきます。
Tips
参道には石段があります。歩きやすい靴で行きましょう。
