旧安中藩の武家住宅を移築した書院と、群馬県指定重要文化財の庭園「青翠園」からなる史跡で、アカマツやヤマモミジなどが植えられています。見頃は例年11月中旬から下旬。見学は無料です。例年11月中旬から下旬にはライトアップ(17:00〜20:00)も行われています(2026年分は公式サイトで要確認)。
