Nakatsu Gorge and Yasui Gorge: A Niyodo Blue Waterfall Spray Walk

This nature-filled course lets you savor the breathtaking scenery of Niyodo Blue over the course of a day, in the basin of the Niyodo River, known as the miracle clear stream. In the morning, feel the river breeze at Asao Chinka-bashi (浅尾沈下橋), a railing-less bridge, then in the late morning experience the cool spray of Uryu Falls (雨竜の滝), which tumbles down through a split in the rock walls at Nakatsu Gorge (中津渓谷). After a relaxing break with the signature tea-field pudding at a tea-field cafe in the mountains, head to Yasui Gorge (安居渓谷) in the afternoon. The jewel-like transparent blue of Suisho-buchi (水晶淵), waiting at the end of the promenade, is a beauty that leaves you speechless. Finish up by cooling down with a view of the clear stream at dusk in a riverside park.
