2026 Bicchu-Takahashi Matsuyama Odori Full-Day Experience Course
A full-day course celebrating the opening day of the "Bicchu-Takahashi Matsuyama Odori" dance festival, held August 14-16, 2026, along JR Bicchu-Takahashi Station's main boulevard in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture. By day, visit Bicchu Matsuyama Castle, one of 12 existing original castles and known as the "Castle in the Sky," then explore samurai residences in Ishihi-ya Town Furusato Village. Spend quiet time admiring Raikyu-ji Temple's garden, counted among Japan's three great scenic temple gardens, and enjoy an early dinner in the Koneya-gawa scenic district. At 7 p.m., the elegant Bon dance begins on the station-front boulevard, continuing until 10:20 p.m., coloring Takahashi's summer night.
