2026 Asahi Mirai Park Splash Pool Full-Day Course
A one-day course built around the Asahi Mirai Park Splash Pool at Asahi Mirai Park, a new park laid out south of Tomari Station (泊駅) in Asahi Town (朝日町), at the eastern edge of Toyama Prefecture. The play equipment area only opened in part on 2 May 2026, and its big feature is that the large covered play structures are divided into three areas for school-age children, preschoolers and infants. Because children can play in an area suited to their age, it is easier to keep an eye on siblings even when they are far apart in years. The town's official information does not state the period when water runs in the splash pool, so checking before you visit is recommended. As notes on using the splash pool, the town advises not to run because the surface is slippery. In the morning, head to the Fudodo Ruins (不動堂遺跡), a nationally designated historic site, and take in the reality that people have lived on this land since ancient times through the reconstructed large Jomon-period dwelling. Then continue on to the Jade Coast and pick up stones at the water's edge. With luck, you may even come across a piece of jade. At lunchtime, rest at the seaside Hisui Terrace, and in the afternoon send up sprays of water at the splash pool. It is a course only Asahi Town could offer, linking the sea, an archaeological site and a new park in a single day.
