2026 Aone Shirakami Junikko (アオーネ白神十二湖) Starry Sky Full-Day Course

A day centered on Aone Shirakami Junikko (アオーネ白神十二湖), an accommodation facility at the foot of the Shirakami Mountains in Fukaura Town, Nishitsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture. Fukaura Town was selected as the best place in Japan for stargazing in the 2000 National Continuous Starry Sky Observation. The facility turns off its outdoor lights around 9 PM, and guest rooms are equipped with a star chart and an LED lantern (staying overnight is a prerequisite for stargazing here). During the day, you can visit Aoike (青池) of the Shirakami Junikko lakes, about a 10-minute drive away (Oku-Junikko parking lot costs 500 yen for standard vehicles).
