About this spot

A gently curving sandy beach just moments from the center of Kamakura. Children lose track of time wading barefoot at the water's edge, searching for cherry blossom shells, or building sand castles. While kids play, adults can relax in the sea breeze while gazing out at Enoshima Island and Inamuragasaki. It's the perfect place to rest your feet after a morning of walking.

Tips

Consider picking up takeout from shops near Hase Station for a beach lunch. If playing in the surf, don't forget a change of clothes and towels. In seasons other than summer, it can be windy and cool, so bring a jacket.
