About this spot

With a drop of about 30 meters and a total length of about 100 meters, this is the finest waterfall in the Boso area, gliding gently down the rock face. Rather than a roaring cascade, it's known for its elegant, cloth-like flow, which you can view up close from a trail that descends nearly to the base of the falls. In autumn, the combination of the falls and the fall foliage is breathtaking.

Tips

Taking the bus from Yoro-Keikoku Station is convenient, but buses are infrequent, so check the schedule in advance. The slope down to the falls is steep, so watch your footing.

Best time to visit

Stay 1 to 1.5 hours. Traffic jams are all but guaranteed on weekends during the autumn leaf season.
