Science Play with Interactive Exhibits and a Planetarium
About this spot
An interactive science museum spread across floors 7–10 of 'Kibo-ru'. Exhibits where visitors experience sound, light, and optical illusions with their bodies are hugely popular with children, and you can enjoy a full half-day here even on rainy days. The planetarium on the top floor offers gentle explanations of the night sky and is perfect for a child's first introduction to astronomy.
Tips
Upon entering, the golden rule is to first decide on a planetarium screening time and secure your seats. Strollers can be moved by elevator, and there are nursing rooms and diaper-changing facilities for peace of mind when traveling with babies.
Best time to visit
Requires just under 2 hours. Right after opening is less crowded and recommended.
