About this spot

A metropolitan botanical garden boasting one of the largest collections in Tokyo. Featuring a rose garden at its peak in spring and autumn, a grand greenhouse filled with tropical flowers, and woodland paths, the gardens offer abundant attractions that change with each season. A verdant oasis where you can enjoy a relaxing half-day among the greenery, resting on benches in the spacious lawn.

Tips

Wear comfortable walking shoes as the grounds are extensive. While there are shops and vending machines, bringing a water bottle is recommended. Exit through the Jindaiji Gate (back entrance) and you'll be near the soba noodle restaurants in seconds.

Best time to visit

Allow 2 hours; early morning just after opening is peaceful and recommended
