A small temple known as the stage of the children's song "Shosenji's Tanuki Bayashi" (證誠寺の狸ばやし). Within the grounds are a tanuki mound and a monument to the children's song, where you can reflect on the tanuki legends while strolling quietly. Contrasting with the bustling outlet mall and bridge, it offers a moment to feel Kisarazu's history.
Tips
The temple grounds are compact and can be covered in about 20 minutes. Parking spaces are limited, so during busy times, it's safer to use coin parking near Kisarazu Station.
Best time to visit
Allow 20–30 minutes. A quiet afternoon stop is ideal.
