Oarai's 60-meter-tall symbol tower. From the observation deck at 55 meters above ground, you can see the Pacific Ocean and Oarai Port, and on clear days, even Mount Tsukuba and the Nikko mountain range in the distance. Children, especially those who love vehicles, will be thrilled watching large ferries and fishing boats passing through the harbor from above.
Tips
An elevator takes you directly to the observation deck, so it's stroller-friendly. If a large ferry is moored in the harbor, children who love vehicles will be extremely excited.
Best time to visit
Allow 30-40 minutes. Afternoon views of the ocean side are particularly beautiful.
