Exploring a Massive Underground Space Used as a Film Location - Cool and Mystical

About this spot

A vast underground space spanning approximately 20,000 square meters created in an old Oya stone quarry. With stone pillars standing in rows, it resembles an underground temple and is renowned as a filming location for movies and music videos. The quarry maintains a cool temperature of around 10°C throughout the year. The beautifully lit stone walls create a mystical atmosphere that draws exclamations from both children and adults—an extraordinary experience.

Tips

Even in summer, bring a jacket as the quarry is cold. There are many stairs, so it's best to leave your stroller at the entrance and use a baby carrier instead. Early morning visits during consecutive holidays tend to be less crowded.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 60 minutes. Early morning right after opening is less crowded.
