Yumomi is a traditional Kusatsu technique where high-temperature hot spring water is cooled with long wooden paddles without being diluted. At Atsunoyu, yumomi and dance shows are performed several times daily accompanied by the Kusatsu folk song, captivating audiences of all ages with their vibrant display. Some performances include yumomi experience corners, perfect for creating travel memories.
Tips
Performances rotate and are popular; arrive about 30 minutes before showtime to buy tickets and secure good seating near the front. Use the indoor restroom before the show starts.
