Nationally renowned for its "floor maple leaves" (yuka-momiji)—maple leaves reflected in the polished floor of the main hall—the temple attracts many visitors during special spring and autumn foliage openings. The stone-paved approach and the expressive stone Buddha statues scattered throughout the grounds are favorites among children.
