Leisurely Photo Walk Through Rows of Brick and White-Walled Warehouses
About this spot
A cultural facility preserving and repurposing a cluster of warehouses from old breweries that produced sake, miso, and soy sauce from the Edo through Showa periods. The sight of 11 lined-up warehouses—both brick and white-walled—is spectacular, and viewing the exteriors is free. Surrounding alleyways retain traces of Kiryu's textile heritage, making it an enjoyable area for family walks.
Tips
The interiors of the warehouses are sometimes only open to the public during special events. Even just the exteriors are photogenic—it's fun to walk with children while counting the warehouses.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 40 minutes. Late afternoon offers soft light that's ideal for photography.
