A scenic 3-minute aerial journey to the Haruna-Fuji summit station. As the adorable, double-cabin ropeway steadily gains altitude, Haruna Lake spreads out beneath you. From the summit, you can take in sweeping views of the Kanto Plain and the mountains of Joshu, and on clear days, you might even glimpse Mount Fuji in the distance. An ideal spot for couples' commemorative photos.
Tips
The summit is windy with a lower felt temperature, so don't forget a jacket. The path beyond the summit station has gentle inclines, so sneakers are recommended. Strong winds can cause closures, so check the day's operating status before heading up.
Best time to visit
Allow 60 minutes for the round-trip ride and summit stroll. Late afternoon offers the most stable visibility.
