Nestled within Jōnan Park (城南公園), this museum lets you experience Toyama's nature and science in full. The roaring, moving Tyrannosaurus robot is breathtakingly realistic and the children's favorite attraction. The museum boasts impressive exhibits unique to Toyama, including a life-size restoration of a Naumann Elephant and dioramas of Tateyama's natural features. Planetarium viewing is included in the admission fee, so even on rainy days you can encounter a sky full of stars.

Tips

The planetarium has set screening times, so we recommend checking the schedule upon arrival and deciding the order of your visit accordingly. The museum is stroller-friendly and has elevators. You can use the parking lot at Jōnan Park.

Best time to visit

Approximately 2 hours. The museum is least crowded right after opening in the morning, allowing for a thorough visit.
