Be Captivated by Light-Filled Atrium and Colorful Glass Art

About this spot

Located within 'TOYAMA Kirari (TOYAMAキラリ),' a complex facility designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, this museum embodies the city of glass, Toyama. The exterior combines granite and glass, while inside, the atrium is stunning with its louvers made from local Toyama materials gleaming in the light—the building itself is like a work of art. The top floor features a permanent exhibition of large-scale glass installations by international artists, creating such a flood of color that both adults and children can't help but exclaim. The facility also houses a library, so you can take a break in the picture book corner.
