Nervously Cross the 23-Meter-High Ocean Suspension Bridge and Take Commemorative Photos
About this spot
Known as the symbol of Jogasaki Coast, this 48-meter-long and 23-meter-high ocean suspension bridge. It spans between two cliffs with waves crashing far below, and the thrill of crossing makes the whole family laugh and exchange looks of delight upon completing the crossing. From atop the bridge, you can take in a panoramic view of the lava coastline and blue sea, making it a highlight moment for memorable photos. Pairing it with the nearby Kadowaki Cape Lighthouse creates a picturesque scene of a white lighthouse and seaside cliffs.
Tips
The bridge is solidly built and small children can cross, but on windy days, hold hands as the bridge sways more noticeably. During crowded times, refrain from stopping on the bridge; instead, take photos after crossing. Hats with chin straps are recommended to prevent them from flying away. The bridge is just a few minutes' walk from Kadowaki Parking Lot.
Best time to visit
Approximately 40 minutes required. Afternoon light shows the sea's blue at its most beautiful.
