A commercial building near Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station, recognizable by the striking red Ferris wheel on its rooftop. The approximately 75-meter-diameter Ferris wheel, which juts out from the building, reaches a maximum height of approximately 106 meters above ground. During the approximately 15-minute aerial stroll, you can take in a complete panoramic view of Umeda's high-rise buildings to distant mountain ranges. The gondolas become a private space for two people, making it a renowned date spot. The building houses shops featuring fashion and miscellaneous goods for young people, with a giant whale object suspended in the atrium adding a playful touch. The upper floors feature an amusement arcade with games and photo booths for entertainment, so you'll have plenty to enjoy before and after the Ferris wheel ride. It's a true Umeda landmark.
Tips
About a 3-minute walk from Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station, and about 5 minutes from JR Osaka Station. The Ferris wheel boarding platform is on the 7th floor, and tickets can be purchased at the platform entrance. Evening waits can be long on weekends, so early afternoon is your best bet. On clear days with crisp air, you can see much farther.
