A small park on the shore of Ine Bay, and the starting point for walks with boathouses facing you directly across. These unique boathouses—with boat garages on the first floor and living quarters on the second—line the bay in approximately 230 structures. Designated as a National Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings, the townscape still breathes with the traditional life of a fishing village, just one turn into a side street. The charm of this place is being able to relax at your own pace—sitting on park benches to admire the sea, taking photos of the boathouses across the pier, or simply strolling. There are also cafés and dining spots nearby that make use of old houses, perfect for a rest during your seaside walk.
Tips
Get off the bus at "Ine Postal Office Station" and it's right there; it's just a few minutes by bus from the Hiide Pier cruise. Note that many boathouses are still people's homes, so be respectful of people's daily lives in the lanes and don't enter private properties or boat storage areas. Roads are narrow and cars pass through, so take photos in open spaces like the park. Public restrooms are nearby for peace of mind.

Approximately 1 hour. The morning light is best for photography, as the sea colors are vibrant.
