End your hot spring town stroll with a foot bath in front of the facility, enjoying the misty atmosphere and retro inns
About this spot
A village-operated day-use hot spring facility at the heart of Dorogawa Hot Spring Town, featuring a casual foot bath in front of the building—perfect for finishing your walk. Slowly soaking your feet in the warm water, the day's fatigue from your hike through Mitarai Gorge gradually melts away. Before you spreads the view of Dorogawa Hot Spring Town with its retro wooden inns displaying lanterns, and the misty atmosphere feels like stepping back into the Showa era. The historic streetscape, which has long welcomed mountain ascetics, is dotted with shops selling Darani-tasuke Pills—local specialties—and old-fashioned souvenir stores. Spending your time leisurely before catching the bus is recommended.
Tips
Just a short walk from Dorogawa Hot Spring Bus Stop. Bringing a towel for the foot bath adds comfort. If you want to enjoy a full bath indoors, admission is required—check reception hours. Check the final bus departure time from Dorogawa Hot Spring beforehand so you can fully enjoy the foot bath and souvenir shopping.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. A perfect rest after your walk in the early evening before the return bus
