A lift to the Horai side offers another terrace with views of both lake and mountains, and wandering around searching for photogenic spots is one of the pleasures. Tips
The terrace itself can be used with only the ropeway fare, though some premium sofa seating is fee-based and limited in quantity—securing it immediately upon summit arrival is essential if you aim for it. The café gets crowded around midday, so ordering early is advisable. The summit has little shade from sunlight; on clear days, hats and sunglasses are recommended for comfort. Views are greatly affected by weather, so check the official website's live summit camera the morning of your visit.
