Enjoy a Scenic Drive Break Viewing the Red Bridge Spanning the Lake and Mountains Reflected in the Lake Surface
About this spot
A reservoir lake created by the construction of the Seiryūji Dam, located south of Nabari city center, where a deep blue-green lake surface spreads quietly in the mountains. The beautiful contrast between the red arched bridge spanning the lake and the calm water surface reflecting the surrounding mountains is stunning, and a scenic drive along the lakeside road is among the most exhilarating in the Nabari area. In spring, cherry blossoms line the lakeside; in early summer, fresh green foliage; and in autumn, maple leaves color the landscape and reflect in the lake surface. Simply stopping the car to admire the view helps unwind your spirit. The surrounding area is known for 'Seiryūji Lake grape-picking,' making it a grape-producing region, and from summer to autumn, many visitors enjoy the harvest experience. After a gorge walk, the breeze crossing the lake gently cools your heated body—a perfect spot for a scenic drive break.

From late July through November, grape-picking is available on the lakeside; if you plan to visit, allow extra time.
Best time to visit
Takes about 1 hour. The late afternoon sunlight shimmering on the lake surface makes for a pleasant scenic drive break.
