This is Japan's first conifer garden, opened to the public by Manabe Garden, a tree producer and distributor. Across approximately 25,000 tsubo of grounds are planted with conifers and flowering trees from around the world. Three areas with different characteristics—Japanese garden, Western-style garden, and landscape garden—are connected by winding paths. The garden is shady with many benches and rest spots scattered throughout, perfect for a relaxed pace suited to grandparents. With luck, you might spot Ezo squirrels or wild birds, delighting the grandchildren. Many photogenic spots, like the red-roofed "European House," await, making this verdant healing garden perfect for digestion after sweets.
