A garden boasting one of the largest scales in the Tōhoku region, established as a private villa in the Taishō period by Fujita Kenichi (藤田謙一), a businessman from Hirosaki. The garden is structured in two levels: a high terrace and a low area. From the high terrace garden, an open vista with Mt. Iwaki (岩木山)—Tsugaru's sacred peak—unfolds as borrowed scenery. Descending to the lower area reveals a stroll garden with ponds and waterfalls of serene charm. The design utilizing elevation changes makes the scenery shift with each step, which is delightful. The Western-style building on the high terrace is a nationally registered tangible cultural property, and the "Taishō Romance Tearoom" inside is famous for its apple pie comparing offerings from popular Hirosaki shops. Tea while overlooking the garden is a special treat unique to Hirosaki, the city of apples, perfect for a three-generation rest break.
Tips
Located immediately from Ōtemom Square, directly across from Ōtemom Gate of Hirosaki Park. Combination tickets with Hirosaki Castle Main Tower and Hirosaki Castle Botanical Garden can be used, so purchasing in advance is economical. The garden paths connecting the high and low areas include slopes and stone steps; if there are concerns about leg strength, it's recommended to focus on the high terrace and Western building for a leisurely visit. The tearoom has limited seating and may have a short wait during snack time.

Takes approximately 1 hour. The classic approach is to visit during afternoon snack time and take a break at the tearoom.
