A roadside station that serves as the gateway to Kazuno tourism, located just off the Tohoku Expressway Kazuno-Hachimanpai IC. The sales floor displays an array of local specialty products including Kazuno's famous kiritanpo, processed products made from peaches (the northernmost variety), and apple juice, heightening the excitement of starting your trip. In the Festival Exhibition Hall on the premises, you can view the actual ornate festival floats of Hanawa Bayashi up close as they parade, giving you a taste of Kazuno's festival culture. There's also a hands-on experience where you can make kiritanpo yourself (reservation required), which makes for a fun memory if you have time. The location is convenient for visiting both Ogosezawa Mine and Oyu, making this an ideal base for your day's strategy session and snack supplies.

Tips

Excellent access, approximately 1 minute by car from Kazuno-Hachimanpai IC. The parking lot is spacious and free. The sales floor is open from morning, and it's less crowded early in the morning, making shopping smooth. Since the tunnel interior is cool even in summer, this is a good place to check that you have a cardigan or light jacket. Bring drinks here as well.
