This shrine was established on the site of Tsuruoka Castle's original main keep residence, from the hearts of former samurai and domain residents who "revered their lord." It enshrines four generations of the Sakai clan lords: Sakai Tadatsugu, Ietsugu, Tadakatsu, and Tadasada. Known locally as "Shōnai-sama," it is cherished by residents who visit at every family milestone—from first shrine visits to the Shichi-Go-San celebration. The precincts, surrounded by greenery, carry the serene atmosphere unique to a castle site, where after paying respects, you can receive a commemorative stamp (goshuinku) or simply stroll the grounds as you wish. Praying for your grandchild's healthy growth and family health at the original main keep site where the lord once lived creates a memorable moment worthy of a three-generation trip.

Located within Tsuruoka Park, a short walk from the Chidō Museum. Entry and prayers are free, and the flat precincts are safe for elderly relatives.
