From a Viewing Tower at 106 Meters Above Sea Level: A Grand Panorama of the Pacific Ocean and Onahama Harbor

About this spot

A viewing tower approximately 60 meters tall standing as the symbol of Misaki Park atop the cape, with the observation deck at approximately 106 meters above sea level. Taking the elevator up reveals a 360-degree grand panorama spanning the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, Onahama Harbor, Iwaki's city center, and distant mountain ranges. Ascending further by stairs to the rooftop "Sky Deck" (スカイデッキ), you can experience the views while feeling the sea breeze fully on your body—an exhilarating viewing experience awaits. Looking down at the greenery and cliffs of Misaki Park and ships traveling through the harbor together with your children, you can comprehensively wrap up the Onahama landscape you've walked through all day. In the late afternoon, when the setting sun makes the sea surface shimmer, you'll encounter scenery worthy of concluding a family trip.

Tips

Located within Misaki Park; driving from Wampaku Hiroba is convenient (hiking is hilly). Admission is charged, and the rooftop Sky Deck closes on windy or inclement weather days. When photographing from the observation deck, keeping the lens close to the window glass reduces reflections.

Best time to visit

Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. The late afternoon, when the setting sun tints the sea, offers the most beautiful scenery.
