This milk-themed experience facility stands partway up Mount Daisen, within the Daisen Pasture where green grazing land spreads out. Its specialty is a soft-serve ice cream made generously with fresh local raw milk. It's rich yet has a clean finish, and people keep coming specifically for it. At the restaurant, you can enjoy dishes making use of dairy products and local ingredients while taking in the view of the green pasture and the Sea of Japan side. The shop also has a good selection of souvenirs, including milk, cheese, and sweets. Mount Daisen, viewed from the grassy plaza, is powerfully impressive, making this a highland spot perfect for relaxing after a meal.

Tips

The restaurant gets crowded around lunchtime, so it's best to arrive early or shift your timing. Get the famous soft-serve before the line at the shop grows long. The parking lot is fairly large, but it can fill up on weekends during the peak sightseeing season, so allow plenty of time.
