The final station on the JR Sakai Line, affectionately known as the "Kitaro Station," serves as the gateway to a yokai adventure. The Sakai Line features the Kitaro Train with Kitaro, Eyeball Dad, Cat Girl, and other characters painted across its entire body, and if you're lucky, you can see it on the platform. In front of the station stands a bronze statue of Manga Master Mizuki Shigeru seated at his desk with Kitaro and friends, marking the beginning of Mizuki Shigeru Road. The station building itself is designed to match the yokai world's aesthetic, creating a sense of wonder the moment you step out—as if you've entered a storybook. Approximately 30 minutes. Early morning sees fewer tourists, allowing for unhurried photos with the station's bronze statues.
