A prefectural seaside park that spreads out around Shimane Prefectural Marine Park Aquas, featuring a pine grove, white sandy beach, and sprawling grassy lawns. After finishing your visit to Aquas, walk to the beach without moving your car. Spread out a leisure sheet while gazing at the calm Sea of Japan, and you have an ideal picnic spot. The park is equipped with playgrounds and a campground, where children will become engrossed in collecting shells on the beach and playing in the waves. Taking time to relax in the sea breeze gently cools down the excitement from the aquarium.

Tips

The parking lot is shared with Aquas, so you don't need to move your car. There are limited shops within the park, so it's wise to bring snacks and drinks in advance. If playing by the water's edge, don't forget a change of clothes and towels for the children.

Best time to visit

Approximately 40 minutes required. The early afternoon hours with bright sunshine make the sandy beach sparkle—perfect for a picnic.
