From Kojima Sightseeing Port (児島観光港), located at the foot of the Seto Ohashi Bridge (瀬戸大橋), a sightseeing cruise boat departs offering a close-up view of the bridge from the sea. On the roughly 45-minute cruise, you will look straight up at the massive piers and main towers rising high from the water's surface, experiencing the two-story structure of road and railway unique to the Seto Ohashi Bridge. If the timing is right, the roar of a train rushing overhead echoes out over the sea, a moment that anyone who loves transportation cannot miss. The boat travels with views of the islands of the Shiwaku Islands (塩飽諸島), and scenery unique to the Seto Inland Sea appears one after another, including passing fishing boats and cargo ships and the silhouettes of scattered islands.

Tips

Since departures are limited, checking the departure times in advance is reassuring. Free parking is available at the port. The sea breeze is strong on deck, so bring a light jacket. If you are worried about the rocking, you can still enjoy the bridge plenty from an indoor seat.
