A natural bridge created as the Taisho River carved through limestone bedrock over countless ages—approximately 90 meters long, 18 meters wide, and towering about 40 meters above the river surface, boasting one of the world's most impressive scales. Designated as a nationally designated natural monument, it was historically called the 'Sacred Bridge' and inspired people's faith, having served as an actual crossing to reach the opposite bank. Standing beneath the bridge and looking up, you'll see light glimmering off the river and verdant green beyond the giant rock arch—so breathtaking that words fail. A fitting climax to your Taisho Gorge walk with overwhelming presence.
Tips
The best viewing points are before the bridge and near the riverbank directly beneath it. During high water, view from the walking path rather than descending to the riverbank. Late morning and early afternoon bring light to the valley, making it ideal for photography. It's a perfect spot for lunch with bread from the roadside station. Return via the same walking path to the parking area.

Approximately 1 hour required. Late morning and early afternoon light illuminates the rock arch, making the natural bridge's power easier to photograph.
