Located right beside the Akiyoshi-dai Karst Observatory, this scenic café doubles as an information center for the geopark. The modern white building features large windows opening onto the grassland, where you can view the karst landscape like a living painting from the sofa seating. The café serves coffee, soft drinks, and light meals—perfect for a rest during your explorations. Inside, exhibits and informational displays explain the formation and highlights of Akiyoshi-dai, revealing how the morning's cave and the afternoon's grassland are parts of one connected geological story, deepening your appreciation of the landscape.

Tips

Just a short walk from the same parking area as the Akiyoshi-dai Karst Observatory. The window-side sofa seats are popular, so visit just outside the lunch rush for better availability. The information counter can also help you plan your afternoon route.

Best time to visit

Allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Afternoon light floods through the large windows, making the grassland green particularly vivid.
