White Sandy Beach and Pine Grove - A Famous Sunset Spot to Stroll in the Morning Sea Breeze
About this spot
A beautifully maintained coastal park along the shore of Toyohama-cho, Kanonji City, featuring white sandy beaches and lovely pine groves. Within the park are grassy areas and a promenade that runs along the sea, serving as a beloved retreat for local residents. From the promenade, you can take in sweeping views of the calm Hiuchinade Strait and distant island silhouettes, and simply walking while listening to the waves helps set your spirit free. Known as a famous sunset spot, the sea viewed in the clear morning light is equally spectacular. You can search for shells on the sandy beach or rest in the shade of the pine grove - a peaceful spot to spend time together.
Tips
Free parking and restroom facilities are available. If you go down to the beach, shoes that don't let sand in easily are comfortable. Since the coastal area has little shade from the sun, it's reassuring to bring a hat.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour. In the morning, the light is clear and the contrast between the Hiuchinade Strait and the pine grove is beautiful.
