Now open as a base facility for Sakawa town walks, it houses a tourism information center and a café corner featuring local ingredients. The earthen floor, tatami rooms, and charming central courtyard typical of merchant house architecture can be viewed free of charge. The standard start of a Sakawa stroll is to pick up a walking map here and ask staff for recommended highlights before setting out. Starting your journey with a drink featuring sake lees, characteristic of Sakawa as a sake town, is also recommended.
Tips
This facility is convenient as a base for exploring central Sakawa. If you park at the nearby free parking lots, both the sake brewery path and Aoyama Library are within walking distance. Picking up the walking map distributed inside at the beginning makes the day flow smoothly.

Approximately 40 minutes required. Early morning just after opening has few visitors, and the light streaming through the earthen floor is beautiful.
