A sake brewery representing Tosa that has continued sake brewing for over 400 years, the reason Sakawa is called a "sake town." The premium sake "Tsukasa Botan," brewed with pure water from the Yoshii River system, is synonymous with light, dry Tosa sake. In front of the brewery stands a street lined with white walls stretching approximately 85 meters, known as the "Sake Brewery Path," which has become the highlight of Sakawa sightseeing. The directly managed shop offers everything from standard pure rice sake to brewery-exclusive products, making souvenir selection an enjoyable experience. The area allows visitors to experience sake-brewing culture through all five senses while walking past the eaves where cedar balls hang and the array of tools displayed inside the shop.
Tips
If traveling by car, the designated driver should refrain from tastings and take home a small bottle for safety. Decide roles with your companions in advance.
