Located along National Route 55 in Tano Town, Shikoku's smallest municipality by area, this Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) is integrated with Tano Station on the Tosa Kuroshio Railway Gomen-Nahari Line. Inside, shelves overflow with freshly harvested vegetables and fruits from local farms, plus fresh seafood from nearby waters. The specialty is completely sun-dried salt made in the town and Tosa country-style sushi topped with myoga, bamboo shoots, and other local ingredients—perfect for a morning meal. The light food corner also offers udon noodles and rice bowls, making this the ideal starting point for a drive where you can preview the food culture of the Chugei region before heading to the yuzu village.
Tips
While the parking lot is spacious, weekend mornings can be busy with local customers. Country-style sushi and prepared dishes are popular and often sell out by afternoon, so purchasing early is recommended. The unique design puts the station platform right next to the shop, so train enthusiasts can enjoy watching arrivals and departures as well.
