About this spot
Kyushu's largest outlet mall, designed in Spanish Colonial style inspired by California. White-walled buildings with orange-tile roofs create an open, bright streetscape where approximately 150 domestic and international shops—fashion, miscellaneous goods, sports brands—line the streets. Hunting for bargains while strolling the street is itself a travel pleasure. The mall also features plenty of food courts and cafes for breaks between shopping. Located where Kyushu's expressways intersect, Tosu's position makes it perfect for final trip shopping. The street beautifully illuminated by soft evening light is also highly photogenic.
Tips
With many shops, it's efficient to narrow down desired brands beforehand. As this is an outdoor mall, bring an umbrella on rainy days. Weekend parking gets crowded during sales periods, so allow extra time for your return journey. Returning shopping bags to your car periodically lets you walk more freely.
Best time to visit
Allow approximately 2 hours. Late afternoon offers a more relaxed shopping experience, and the west-facing streets are beautifully lit by golden hour light.
