Aquarium Recreating the Ninety-Nine Islands Waters – Dolphin and Pearl Experiences
About this spot
An aquarium located within the Ninety-Nine Islands Pearl Sea Resort, home to creatures inhabiting the waters of the Ninety-Nine Islands. In the Ninety-Nine Islands Bay Great Aquarium Tank, bathed in natural light, schools of sardines and rays shimmer as they swim—as if you are peering directly into the sea. In the outdoor dolphin pool, you can observe dolphins up close as they leap dynamically and move with endearing grace. The fantastical display of gently drifting jellyfish is another highlight. The pearl extraction experience—taking a pearl from an akoya oyster with your own hands—is a unique pleasure of the Ninety-Nine Islands, where pearl cultivation thrives. Your extracted pearl can even be processed into an accessory.
Tips
Dolphin programs and pearl extraction experiences run on set schedules, so check the schedule upon entry to plan your route. Pearl extraction experiences require a separate fee; booking early is recommended on weekends. Calculate backwards from the sightseeing boat's departure time to allow plenty of time to reach the pier.
Best time to visit
Plan for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Early morning visits just after opening offer a relatively relaxed viewing experience.
