A memorial museum housed in the residence where Meiji-era literary master Kunikidata Doppo lodged while serving as an English and mathematics teacher in Saiki. Located in a corner of the castle town that retains the character of samurai residences, near Castle Mountain, Doppo lived here with his younger brother while walking through Castle Mountain and Saiki's seaside, experiences reflected vividly in his later works such as "Spring Bird" (春の鳥) and "Old Genzou" (源おぢ). The museum displays materials centered on Doppo's time in Saiki; viewing the garden from the tatami-mat room allows visitors to reflect on the young writer's days.
