A Hilltop Playground Where a Full-Scale Rocket Stands Tall
About this spot
A hilltop park spreading out right next to Hirakawa Zoo, with its symbol being a full-scale replica of the H-II rocket towering toward the blue sky. Standing close to it, even adults can't help but gasp at its size. The park features large playground equipment and spacious grassy lawns, perfect for one more round of play after visiting the zoo. Rose gardens and a camping area are also maintained, making it a favorite spot for local families. Since it's within walking distance to and from the zoo, it's convenient to visit both together.
Tips
The play equipment and grassy areas have little shade, so don't forget a hat and water. Since lunch is planned at Green Farm afterward, it's recommended to limit activity here to playing on the equipment and viewing the rocket.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. The late morning or early afternoon after leaving the zoo is perfect for some active playtime.
