The northernmost rest area on the main island of Okinawa, beloved as the gateway to Yanbarua tourism. Located along National Route 58, the shop is lined with specialty Kunigami donuts, processed Shikuwasa citrus products, local vegetables, and crafts. The fragrant aroma of freshly fried sata andagi entices visitors even before departure. The restaurant also serves wild boar dishes and other mountain delicacies unique to Kunigami Village, and is the perfect place to gather tourist information about Yanbarua's forests. It's the standard practice to stock up on snacks and drinks here before heading north on your northernmost point drive.
Tips
The northernmost area ahead has few shops or convenience stores, so it's wise to stock up on drinks and snacks here. Popular donuts can sell out, so purchasing in the morning is recommended. Don't forget a restroom break before departing.

Approximately 45 minutes. Morning is recommended when the selection is most abundant and freshly fried items are more likely to be available.
