Walking the circuit path around the pond, the scenery continuously transforms—the red-tiled palace, the hexagonal pavilion floating on the pond, and the arched bridge of Ryukyuan limestone. The aesthetic sensibility unique to Ryukyu, blending Japanese garden styles with Chinese design elements, flows throughout. One circuit of the garden path takes approximately 30 minutes, but setting aside time to linger at the palace and around the pond enhances the experience.
