Walk the cedar-lined approach and pay respects at Fuchu's grand shrine

About this spot

The grand shrine of Musashi Province, said to have been founded in 111 AD (the 41st year of Emperor Keiko). Located in the center of Fuchu City, the approach lined with towering cedar trees on both sides is widely known as a characteristic sight of Fuchu. The grounds retain the structure of the "Roku-sho Shrine," with the main hall and seven subsidiary shrines arranged in line, and simply walking slowly through this solemn atmosphere allows you to feel the depth of history. The "Kurayami Festival" held every May in May is also famous as one of Tokyo's largest Shinto festivals. This is a fitting place to pay your respects before tonight's fireworks and pray for the safety of the day.

2026年7月1日(水)19時30分から打ち上げられる東京競馬場花火は、約14,000発という都内でも屈指の打上数を誇ります。競馬場ならではの広大な敷地がそのまま観覧スペースになるため、広い空を独り占めするような開放感の中で花火を楽しめます。スターマインや大玉など多彩なプログラムが次々と夜空を彩り、芝生の上から見上げる迫力は格別。都市部にありながらスケール感の大きな花火体験は、府中の夏の一大イベントとして多くのファミリーに親しまれています。フィナーレの連発が夜空を埋め尽くす瞬間は、この1日のクライマックスです。

Tips

JR武蔵野線・府中本町駅から徒歩約5分、または京王線・府中駅から徒歩約15分。入場方法・料金・開門時刻は東京競馬場の公式サイトで必ず事前確認を(当日券・事前予約の有無が変わることがある)。終了後は府中本町駅・府中駅ともに大混雑するため、フィナーレ後しばらく場内で余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめ。荒天時の対応も公式発表で確認してください。

Tips

About 5 minutes walk from Keio Line Fuchu Station (府中駅), or about 5 minutes walk from JR Musashino Line Fuchu-Hommachi Station (府中本町駅). You can worship freely in the grounds. The Treasure Hall requires a separate admission fee. Shops selling traditional sweets and refreshment areas line the approach, making it recommended to rest after your visit.
