An approximately 180,000 square meter lawn in the center of Showa Kinen National Government Park, serving as the main viewing area for the Tachikawa Festival Fireworks Show. With nothing obstructing the view and wide-open sightlines, you can feel the power of fireworks bursting nearly overhead even from a position close to the launch site—a charm unique to this location. As spaces fill rapidly from evening onward on the fireworks show day, move to the meadow by the 5 PM hour and spread out your sheet. Vendor stalls line the park and surrounding areas to coincide with the fireworks show, so you can secure dinner here and spend time relaxing while waiting for the show to begin. The time as the sun sets and the sky's color changes is particularly special viewed from the wide meadow.

2026年7月25日(土)19時15分から1時間、国営昭和記念公園みんなの原っぱの上空に約5,000発の花火が打ち上がります。遮るものがない18万平方メートルの広大な芝生からは、花火が真上に近い角度で開くため、都心の花火大会にはないスケールと迫力を体全体で感じられます。芝生に寝転がりながら見上げる花火は、立川まつりならではの楽しみ方です。スターマインや大玉が次々と開くフィナーレの連発は、夜空を丸ごと使った圧巻の光景で、夏の1日のクライマックスにふさわしい締めくくりとなります。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は立川まつり実行委員会の公式発表で確認してください。終了後は公園の各出口と立川駅・西立川駅が大変混み合います。フィナーレ後は芝生でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから、混雑が落ち着いたころに帰路につくのがおすすめです。帰りは西立川駅(JR青梅線)の利用も混雑分散に有効です。

Approximately 10 minutes on foot from the Tachikawa entrance through the park. Park admission may be free on the day of the fireworks show, but please confirm details in advance through the official Tachikawa Festival announcement. When securing your spot, avoid spreading your sheet too large and remember to be considerate of those arriving later. The vendor area becomes crowded, so secure your meal early.
