After returning from Mizumoto Park, pick up dinner around Shibamata Station or the temple approach. On the evening of the fireworks festival, food stalls and vendor stands line the approach, building up a lively festival atmosphere. It's wise to secure takeout dishes or light meals early. Once you've eaten, move to the area around Shibamata Baseball Field (柴又野球場) on the Edo River riverbank and set up your viewing spot with a picnic sheet. Since the embankment slopes, choose a flat area that's easy to sit on. The time before the show begins is also special for feeling the evening breeze off the river while watching the sunset.

Tips

The area around Shibamata Station gets extremely crowded in the evening on the day of the fireworks festival. Food at convenience stores and shops often sells out early, so it's more reliable to pick up food and drinks before leaving Mizumoto Park or around Kanamachi Station. Restrooms on the riverbank tend to have long lines, so use one before heading over.

About 1 hour 30 minutes. The view from the embankment just before sunset offers a beautiful time for the evening glow
